KOWLOON MARINE LOTS 29,30 AND 31.

We have the honour to enclose you a copy of a letter written by us to the Colonial Secretary of this Colony on the 12 8th March and of the Colonial Secretary's reply.

2.

The clients on whose behalf we wrote the letter are owners of all the front and back portions of the above Lots (with the exception of three of the front and two of the back portions of Kowloon Marine Lot 29 which belong to a Mr.Stephens who is acting independently).

3.

Notwithstanding our request that the passing of the amending Ordinance be deferred until we had had an opportunity of addressing your Lordship on the subject the Ordinance was passed before the reply to our letter was received.

4.

The point at issue is the refusal of the Government of this Colony to fully admit claims by our clients for compensa- tion for the injurious affecting of their property owing to the works authorized or validated by the Typhoon Refuge Ordinance.
